Creative Arts Group
This group meets monthly both to paint and to enjoy many different kinds of handiwork. These include knitting, bead and button work, sewing, embroidery and patchwork. Occasionally there are trips out to paint in the open air or for a guided tour of an art gallery.

Knitting
Knitting takes many different shapes and forms, including Mary’s Nativity scene for the College chapel.
Two major charities supported by knitters are ‘Teddies for Tragedy’ and warm hats for Mission to Seafarers
A WALL HANGING TO CELEBRATE THE QUEEN’S GOLDEN JUBILEE AND THE OLYMPICS
Made with about 30 squares set ‘on point,’ it depicts things of significance to Collegians
Wearing traditional Collegian dress, Janet is the undisputed
Collegian ‘Queen of Handicrafts’. She has raised thousands of
pounds for the Friends’ funds through her varied and delightful creations.
Gardening
Collegians who enjoy gardening are encouraged to take on caring for parts of the flower beds. There is a part time gardener.
Games
Table tennis is on offer several times a week, as is a weekly ‘keep fit’ session. In the Summer, the Friends organize Croquet and Putting matches under the ancient cedar trees on the north lawn, as well as indoor games all year round.
Other Small Group Activities
Once a month the Book Group meets to talk about a pre-selected book
Each month there is a film evening (recorded) and another evening of recorded music, selected by a Collegian.
A Bible study group meets twice a month and a Fellowship Group once a month.
Social events include a monthly lunch for about 30 Collegians, afternoon tea once a month, and morning coffee twice a month.
